Experiance

Inn Gear - Junior Project Manager (June 2022 - September 2022)

In my role as Junior Project Manager, I assumed responsibility for a multifaceted range of tasks, including quoting, furniture design, artwork selection, signage design, print formatting, and overseeing pub installations. I recognized that seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders is paramount, particularly concerning lead times and cost management. This emphasis on clear and effective communication facilitated the successful execution of projects within specified parameters, ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability.

Jibworx & AfterJam Collective - Graphic Design Intern (May 2022 - Jun 2023)

Starting with an initial commitment of 1-2 days per week, my time as a Graphic/UX Design Intern swiftly expanded to a full-time engagement of 4-5 days per week, starting in September 2022. Within this role, I undertook a diverse array of projects spanning both AfterJam and Jibworx, using a range of Adobe Suite software alongside Sketchbook, Solidworks, Keyshot, and Squarespace.

This internship afforded me the unique opportunity to immerse myself in the French Alps for the winter season, having full involvement in running a range of Freestyle Snowsports events. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the conceptualization and development of the new Jibworx website and brochures and heavily assisted with the rebranding, and the creation of posters for events for the 2022/23 season, across both AfterJam and Jibworx platforms.

Everygraycloud - Content Creation & Youtube Platform (April 2023 - Present)

Everygraycloud serves as a collaborative platform curated by myself and Fern Warrender, dedicated to documenting our global adventures. As a creative, it provides an avenue for me to engage in editing and content creation, delving into my passion for exploration and creativity. From sailing expeditions to skiing escapades, we meticulously document our journeys, capturing the essence of each experience as it unfolds. Using Premiere Pro for editing, and of course the majority of the Adobe Suite for creating content, this has further improved me as an all-round creative.

Loughborough Snowsports - Chairman (April 2023 - April 2024)

As Chairman of Loughborough Snowsports, I oversaw the club's overall operations and growth, which surged from 180 members to 263 during my tenure. My responsibilities included ensuring financial stability through budget management and forecasting, as well as chairing weekly committee meetings with an 11-member team. Notably, Loughborough Snowsports achieved a record-breaking milestone in 2024, becoming the 3rd largest club at Loughborough University and organizing its largest-ever ski trip, hosting 500 students.

This experience provided invaluable lessons in leadership, financial management, time prioritization alongside academic commitments, conflict resolution, and team management. Managing a diverse committee, budgeting significant funds, and navigating challenging situations with professionalism were key components of this enriching experience.

Loughborough Snowsports - Media & Stash Secretary (April 2021 - April 2022)

As Media Secretary for Loughborough Snowsports, I was responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation’s media channels, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. In this role, I led the design and creation of the annual merchandise, which included t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, beanies, and other branded items. Additionally, I ensured consistent adherence to brand guidelines across all digital and physical assets. I was also tasked with designing promotional graphics for social media, as well as flyers and posters for events, ensuring all content effectively communicated our brand and engaged our target audience.

Grays-Creative - Founder (July 2022 - Present)

Grays-Creative serves as my professional platform for directing freelance design work. Within this, I specialise in creating diverse assets including logos, brochures, websites, posters, and beyond. Working with a number of smaller companies and larger companies such as Wasteland Travel.

Engaging in this venture has notably enhanced my proficiency not only as a designer but also in areas of administration, time management, client relations, and networking. I have personally developed invoicing systems and devised strategies for managing payments and financial tracking throughout. This endeavor has been instrumental in refining my skills as a comprehensive designer and entrepreneur within the industry.

Acumen Design - Industrial Design Work Experience (July 2018)

During my work experience at Acumen Design, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the daily operations of a prestigious Transport & Industrial design studio in London. Under the guidance of CEO Ian Dreiber, I was set internal projects and granted access to observe meetings, providing me with invaluable insights into the professional life of an Industrial Designer.

Throughout the three weeks I engaged in a variety of internal real-life projects, each offering unique challenges and learning opportunities. Following completion, I had the privilege of witnessing the finalisation of these projects by Acumen's experienced designers, allowing me to compare my concepts with theirs and gain further understanding of the design process at a professional level.
